Emily Gaudette

Emily Gaudette is a writer and film marketing professional living in Brooklyn, New York. An editor once described her beat as "anything sexy or scary... or, ideally, both." Emily was a writer and editor at Inverse from 2015 to 2017, and her essays and articles have appeared in Newsweek, Glamour, The Boston Globe, SYFY WIRE, The Huffington Post, New York Observer, Bitch, xoJane, Refinery29, The Daily Dot, and more. She was the host of SYFY's Fandom Files podcast from 2017 to 2020. Currently, she works in social media marketing for Amazon Prime Video. She has performed improv and stand-up comedy around the country, and she was a Matt Carey scholar at ImprovBoston. In addition to her bachelor's in creative writing from Bryn Mawr College, she received a full scholarship to the Master Fiction program at Grub Street, Inc. and has completed coursework through Gotham Writers. Her poetry and short fiction have been published in several academic journals and literary magazines, and she is currently at work on a sci-fi novel. In her spare time, Emily teaches creativity and art classes to children in Brooklyn. She also plays ukulele, mountain dulcimer, omnichord, and concertina. She has raised seven pet rats in her life and currently has a very bad, beautiful dog named Harley Quinn.
