'Fortnite' Road Trip: How to Find the Week 1 and 2 Hidden Battle Stars

More Battle Points for more skins.

by Oscar Gonzalez

Last season, Epic Games added a secret set of challenges to Fortnite: Battle Royale called Blockbuster Challenges, which went with the movie-making theme of the season. For Fortnite Season 5, players will have a new set of hidden tasks to complete called Road Trip challenges.

Like the Blockbuster Challenges of Season 4, the Fortnite Road Trip challenges will be made available once a player completes all the tasks for each of the Weekly Challenges. After the challenges are completed, a new loading screen will unlock, and in that graphic is a hint to a secret Battle Star. In some screens, the Battle Star is barely visible while others will give a clue on where to locate the hidden star. Thanks to data miner TwoEpicBuddies, the first two Road Trip challenge loading screens are available to inspect.

When a player completes the Week 1 Challenges and unlocks a new loading screen (above), it may not seem obvious, but the map in the image is the key to finding out the location. The map shows an almost umbrella looking area with a star in the middle. That location is to the west of the new Lazy Links (below). Look for the quarry and the hidden Battle Star will appear once a player comes near it.

The Week 2 Road Trip challenge loading screen will be made available next week when a new set of Weekly Challenges become available. In the graphic (below), a faint outline of a Battle Star can be seen at what appears to be the Lazy Links’ clubhouse. Unfortunately, the exact location cannot be confirmed until the Week 2 Challenges are live.

There are seven Road Trip challenges in Fortnite Season 5. Completing them all will unlock a new skin, which has yet to be found. In Season 4, the Blockbuster skin was The Visitor that ended up being the villain for the season.

Fortnite players with a Season 5 Battle Pass can get started on the Week 1 Challenges, which include the tasks “follow the treasure map found in Risky Reels” and “search floating Lightning Bolts.”
