When the Week 4 Challenges for Fortnite: Battle Royale went live last Thursday, one task made use of the golf cars, known as the All-Terrain Karts (ATK), and Shopping Carts, which are both found on the island. Unfortunately, an issue caused Epic to remove the vehicles from the game, and it appears they won’t return in time for Tuesday’s update.

An Epic representative answered a question on the Fortnite: Battle Royale subreddit regarding the status of the ATKs and Shopping Carts. The representative said the developer is working to bring the vehicles back but did not provide a timeframe for their return. Both the ATK and Shopping Cart are necessary to complete one of the seven challenges for Week 4 that has players jump through flaming hoops found across the island. The vehicle bug started last Friday, a day after the Weekly Challenges went live.

Epic atk status

“We’re going to get ATKs and Shopping Carts back as soon as we can,” the Epic representative wrote. “Luckily you’ll have all Season to complete any challenges you have.”

Since its introduction back in May, the Shopping Cart had issues galore. Epic removed the push vehicle multiple times since they were introduced into the game. On the other hand, the ATKs debuted with the release of Fortnite: Battle Royale Season 5 and this is the first problem with the golf carts.

Players will have to wait until the ATK and Shopping Cart return to the game before they can complete the challenge and earn those Battle Stars. As the representative said, they will have until the end of Season 5 to finish the task.

Another drawback of the removal of the carts is the inability to complete the Road Trip Challenges. Each week, when a player completes all seven challenges, they unlock a loading screen that gives a hint to a hidden Battle Star. The Week 4 Road Trip Battle Star can be found in Paradise Palms on top of a camel drinking from a cup with a straw.
