'Fortnite' Golf Cart Locations, Drifting, Tips, and Tricks for Season 5
Where to find them, how to drift, and more.
Season 5 of Fortnite is finally here, and that means some big changes for the uber-popular Battle Royale-style game. One unexpected addition is the Golf Cart, which adds an actual vehicle (sorry, [shopping carts] don’t count) to gameplay. Here’s everything you need to know about Fortnite’s new Golf Carts, from their location on the map to how to get a boost while drifting. (Yes, this game game is basically Mario Kart now. Deal with it.)
Fortnite Golf Cart Locations
The most obvious spot to pick up a shiny new Golf Cart is the souped-up race track on the Eastern coast of the map. (It’s at the top of the new desert terrain that takes up the bottom left corner where Moisty Mire used to be.)
Just be quick. You probably won’t be the only player eager to check out this new area and take one of the vehicles for a test drive.
Gaming site GosuNoob scoped out the updated Fortnite map and found a few other Golf Cart locations that might be a little less busy. That includes Snobby Shores on the West coast of the island, where you can find one in the garage of a house on the northern edge of the area and two more by the guardhouse near the road headed towards Tilted Towers.
Up North, there are also a few Golf Carts in a new location Lazy Links, which makes sense since it is a golf course. Specifically, GN found one just outside the garages in the southwest part of the area and two more by the lake.
Finally, head to Paradise Palms, another new area where Moisty Mire used to be, and land inthe middle of this small desert town. You should be able to find a partially hidden Golf Cart there as well.
Fortnite Golf Cart Drifting Guide
Once you find a Golf Cart, just jump into the driver seat and hit the gas. You should see a control guide pop-up on the left side of the screen, showing you how to switch seats, brake or reverse, powerslide, and exit the vehicles.
Let’s focus on powerslide, or, as most players will probably call it, drifting. Holding down the button lets you drift, making it easier to cut around corners and make sharp turns on a dime. Drift long enough and you’ll also build up a boost as the sparks you create change color. Then release the drift button for a burst of speed.
Fortnite Golf Cart Tips and Tricks
Beyond drifting, there are a few more things you should know about Fortnite Golf Carts. First of all, the roof doubles as a bounce pad. So you can use your vehicle to jump onto the roof of a nearby buildings for a quick escape. You can also drive through rifts (another new addition in Season 5), which will send both you and the cart to another location on the map.
Finally, if you’re playing with a team you can actually fit four people in the Golf Cart at once. That includes the driver, the passenger (who can build ramps and platforms for you to drive over), and two people in back who can shoot at enemies as you drive by.
That’s pretty much all there is to know about Fortnite Golf Carts, at least for now. So get back in the game and see what else the new vehicles are capable of.
