Meet Returning 'Twin Peaks' Characters in New Teaser

And Hawk actually speaks!

Though there’s almost no dialogue to be heard in the new teaser for Twin Peaks that dropped on Thursday, the spot gives us a fresh look at some beloved returning characters for the first time in 25 years. The previous teaser showed FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan) back in town, but now we catch up with the likes of Big Ed Hurley (Everett McGill), Carl Rodd (Harry Dean Stanton), Sarah Palmer (Grace Zabriskie), Deputy Andy Brennan (Harry Goaz), and Deputy Tommy “Hawk” Hill (Michael Horse).

The trailer, dubbed “Some Familiar Faces 25 Years Later” literally is just that. Ed is pounding cheap-looking coffee indoors, Carl is about to stammer on some park bench, Sarah Palmer is grumpily shopping for some booze, Deputy Brennan is looking pretty quizzical on a winding, wooded road, and all Hawk can say is “really?” with a concerned look on his face. Really. Even Agent Cooper is back, looking grim as ever.

Twin Peaks comes to Showtime on May 21 at 9 p.m. Eastern.
