Wolverine and Laura, the young mutant destined to become X-23, are on the run in a new international poster for Logan.

Primed to be a grittier action movie than any X-Men movie to date, James Mangold’s Logan takes place after 2014’s X-Men: Days of Future Past with an older, grizzled Logan (Hugh Jackman) caring for a young mutant named Laura (Dafne Keen) while escaping Donald Pierce and his Reavers. The film is loosely based on Mark Millar’s 2008 graphic novel Old Man Logan, featuring an older, withered Wolverine on a cross-country trip across a dystopian United States where supervillains won.

Several reveals on social media indicate a darker film, moreso than any previous Wolverine movie ever. A portion of the script, written by Mangold, was posted on Twitter with Mangold explaining that “people will get hurt or killed when shit falls on them. They will get just as hurt or killed when shit falls on them. They will get just as hurt or just as killed if they get hit with something big and heavy like, say, a car. Should anyone in our story have the misfortune to fall off a roof or out a window, they won’t bounce. They will die.” Ouch.

Logan will be released March 3, 2017.
