The hilariously egotistical Batman from The Lego Movie is getting his own spin-off movie and it will include one crucial member of the LEGO Bat-family: Barbara Gordon, a.k.a. Batgirl. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Rosario Dawson will be lending her voice to the toy super-heroine.

Barbara Gordon is the 20-something daughter of GCPD Commissioner Jim Gordon and becomes Batgirl despite reluctance from the Dark Knight himself.

The Lego Movie animation supervisor Chris McKay is directing LEGO Batman, with Lego Movie helmers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller producing.

Rosario Dawson is a major comic book fan, having starred in Sin City, Marvel’s Netflix-exclusive Daredevil, and the upcoming Luke Cage series. She also voiced Wonder Woman in Justice League: Throne of Atlantis and Artemis in DC’s Wonder Woman animated feature from 2009.
