'Fortnite' Hero Mansion and Villain Hideout: Where to Land for Blockbuster

For the Season X, Week 5 challenge.

The latest mission set of challenges to hit Fortnite: Battle Royale in Season X, Week 5 celebrates Season 4, when the meteor struck the center of the map and launched the age of superheroes versus supervillains. The set is called “Blockbuster” after the weekly secret loading screen challenges from that season, and the first location based challenge will really test your memory: Where’s the superhero mansion and the villain lair?

This particular challenge has players “land at a run down Hero Mansion and an abandoned Villain Hideout.” Both of these locations have been left in a state of disrepair for several seasons, particularly after the time jump that launched Season 9.

Completing this task is fortunately very easy — all you have to do is land on or near these two large locations at the start of two separate matches. They’re both also near cliffs of some kind, so if diving to your death in Fortnite to end the match early is your bag, then we encourage it here.

These are where you can find the run down hero mansion and abandoned villain hideout.

The “villain hideout” is sometimes referred to as the “villain lair” or “missile silo” or any other similar variation. If anyone remembers the missile launch that triggered the huge rift in the sky and the smaller rifts around the map, this location built into a mountain just northeast of Snobby Shores was ground zero.

On the opposite side of the map, the superhero mansion riffs on the Bruce Wayne/Batman archetype just northeast of the desert race track overlooking the coastline.

This challenge will be available to anyone with the Season X battle pass as of August 29 at 9 a.m. Eastern, and the rest of the Blockbuster challenges will unlock one by one as you complete others. Here’s the full set:

  • Land in Dusty Depot, then visit the Meteor in a single match
  • Harvest materials at the Block
  • Land at a run down Hero Mansion and an abandoned Villain Hideout
  • Deal damage while being affected by low gravity
  • Search between a basement film camera, a snowy stone head and a flashy gold big rig
  • Consume fruit, mushrooms, or glitched foraged items
  • Claim vending machines in different matches

All of these Blockbuster challenges will be available until the end of Fortnite Season X.

Fortnite: Battle Royale Season X should end on or around October 5, 2019.
