'Fortnite' 5 Highest Elevations Locations: Where to Find the Tallest Points

Ain't no mountain high enough.

Epic Games wants to make sure everyone knows where the high ground is in the world of Fortnite: Battle Royale. One of the Week 6 challenges unlocked Thursday morning has players visit the five highest points of elevation on the entire island. In theory, this one should be really self-explanatory, but on an island with such bizarre terrain and mixed biomes as this, it can be really difficult to know where the actual five highest points are. Thankfully, we’ve got all the answers right here, along with a video guide and a map to help you get the job done.

The volcano is obviously the highest, but what about the others?

In no particular order, here are the five highest peaks:

  • The very top of the volcano southwest of Sunny Steps.
  • Directly south of Pleasant Park, on the clifftop with a tight circle of oddly colored trees.
  • Northeast of Snobby Shores atop the supervillain lair that once launched a rocket.
  • The highest peak of the Ice King’s castle in Polar Peak.
  • East and a little south of Frosty Flights on the submarine.

Here are the five highest points of elevation on the 'Fortnite' island.

Back in December, players had to dance on top of the submarine southeast of Frosty Flights, and now it serves as one of the highest points on the whole island. Similarly, a secret battle star location from a few weeks ago sent players very close to the top of the volcano.

The hardest part of this challenge is navigating up or down from these points safely, making it far easier to dive directly to a location and then fight to the death with enemies or leap from the peak to start a new match.

For the volcano and castle, it’s possible to just walk all the way up stairs or pathways, but for the others, you’ll have to either land directly there or build ramps up to them. We suggest going for the location directly south of Pleasant Park first, where it’s possible to claim a Driftboard that will help you move faster across the map. You can probably ride it east and hit a volcano vent to help reach the top of the volcano.

Also take note of the various zipline systems, which will definitely help with reaching Polar Peak and making a speedy exit when you’re done.

For another Week 6 challenge, note the giant wooden rabbit that’s rather close to the peak that’s adjacent to Snobby Shores.

The in-game countdown indicates that Season 8 ends on May 8, so players have until then to complete this and other challenges before Season 9 arrives.

Fortnite: Battle Royale Season 8, Week 7 should begin Thursday, April 11.
