Infinity War Captain Marvel Thanos

The internet’s favorite geek artist is back at it again, and this time, they’re looking ahead to the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Digital artist BossLogic has shared their latest work, in which they give fans a glimpse of what the showdown between Thanos and Captain Marvel (played by Brie Larson) might look like in next year’s yet-to-be titled Avengers 4.

On Sunday, BossLogic shared their latest “Avenge Us” piece depicting Captain Marvel — shown from the back like most of today’s Hollywood movie posters — staring down an imposing Thanos, armed with the Infinity Gauntlet and a new weapon that was recently revealed in leaked concept art.

The art takes a dark turn when you look at the bottom. Captain Marvel is standing over some of the remaining Avengers who survived the snap, including Captain America, Black Widow, and War Machine buried under rubble. Thor’s new hammer, Stormbreaker, is also on the ground like it’s day old bread.

The piece is a collaboration with another artist, King’s Letter (@TheKingsletter), who specializes in 3D rendering.

Though its release was well over two months ago, the seismic impact of Avengers: Infinity War continues to be felt across fandom online. BossLogic, in particular, has been capitalizing on the film’s popularity with a number of pieces that are directly inspired by the film’s iconography.

Towards the end of June, BossLogic released a HYPEBEAST series inspired by the Infinity Gauntlet, depicting what fashion brands like Nike, Supreme, Adidas, Gucci, and Louis Vuitton would make the Infinity Gauntlet look like.

The release of Avengers 4 is less than a year away, but it’s still going to be a long wait until the true fate of the Avengers will be revealed.

Avengers: Infinity War will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on August 14.
