‘Fortnite’: New Leaks Reveal Superhero Skins Are Coming to ‘Battle Royale’

Build and look like a hero.

Wednesday’s Fortnite v4.2 update added new content and fixed some gameplay issues, but data miners discovered that a new set of outfits were included in the patch that will make any player look like a hero.

Fortnite data miner @TwoEpicBuddies tweeted the new outfits, pickaxes, gliders, back bling and emotes that were included in the Fortnite v4.2 update that went live on Wednesday. One epic outfit called Venturion has a definite superhero look to it, which goes with the “Blockbuster” theme of Season 4.

Since Epic Games changes the featured items at the in-game store on a daily basis, the developer will include data for the new cosmetics with the weekly updates like it did with the release of Fortnite Season 4.

With the new in-game cosmetics, Epic also fixed an issue regarding the Turbo Builder feature not working with the Pro Builder controller layout. A new Burst Assault Rifle made it into Fortnite: Battle Royale. There’s also one interesting addition to the game: apples. Players can find apples near certain trees on the island. Each apple picked up will increase a player’s health by five points.

There is no way to tell when these in-game items will go on sale. When they do go on sale, it’s only for a limited time. Once they’re gone, it could be weeks or months before they show up again. Skins typically start at 2,000 V-Bucks, or $20, while other in-game items can range in price. Some are available for free while others require a Season 4 Battle Pass to unlock them.

Another change with the v4.2 update was the Weekly Challenges. The Week 3 Challenges are now available to players who purchased a Season 4 Battle Pass. This week’s challenges include a task requiring players to find rubber duckies scattered across the island and a new map to find some treasure.
