'Arrowverse' Shows Have All Been Renewed, The CW Announces

The CW

Enjoying the first season of trips to Freeland? Want more of Central City? Like traveling through space? Well, here’s some good news for you! The CW has renewed 10 shows for next season, including the entire Arrowverse.

On Monday, the network announced a batch of renewals. According to Variety, Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, and freshmen drama Black Lightning have all been renewed.

Black Lightning returning is great in terms of representation and for those hoping for an Arrowverse crossover. The new series puts a family of color at the center of the action, with Jefferson Pierce leading the charge and his daughter Anissa coming into her own as a hero. Plus, we have seen the beginnings of Thunder with Jennifer Pierces’s powers beginning to emerge.

Also, Constantine’s journey across the Arrowverse will appear on the Waverider as a series regular of Legends of Tomorrow next season.

Riverdale is also coming back for a new season of high drama and high school hijinks. The network also renewed Supernatural, Jane the Virgin, Dynasty, and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.

“As The CW expands to a six-night, Sunday through Friday schedule next season, we are proud to have such a deep bench of great returning series for 2018-19,” said CW president Mark Pedowitz. “By picking these ten series up for next season, we have a terrific selection of programming to choose from when we set our fall schedule in May, with more still to come, and I’m especially happy that we’ll continue to work with the incredibly talented casts, producers, and writers who create the series our fans are so passionate about.”

Unfortunately for fans of the sci-fi and comic book series on the network iZombie and The 100 have not been renewed yet. We will probably have to wait until May for news about both those shows. The future of freshmen series Valor and Life Sentence are also still up in the air.

Thankfully fans who love the superhero adventures across The CW will be in for another year of jam-packed DC Comics action.
