Elon Musk is one of the most impressive humans of our generation. Everything he touches seems to turn to gold. He’s a winning machine. Well, most of the time, as Elon Musk has also had his fair share of failures. In classic Musk fashion, his failures are just as spectacular as his accomplishments.
So, the guy makes rockets for a living. Rockets, as we know, sometimes like to blow up. Elon Musk’s rocket explosions have cost hundreds of millions of dollars. Famously, Elon Musk blew up Mark Zuckerberg’s satellite that was supposed to beam free internet to developing countries. That’s like, astronomically bigger than that time you dropped your phone in the toilet.
He also hasn’t always had the best luck running companies. In fact, his original company Zip 2 famously demoted him, twice. His own company passed over him for CEO because they didn’t think he had the gusto. Being cold-shouldered by your own business is rough, and probably super embarrassing.
While Elon Musk is incredibly successful, he’s also human. He screws up all the time. So the next time you have an epic fail, just remember that you can still end up being a successful millionaire one day, explosions and all.
