Ryan Reynolds Unveils First Look at Domino in 'Deadpool 2'

Deadpool won’t be the only gun-toting, super violent mutant in the upcoming sequel to the hit R-rated superhero comedy. He’ll be joined by Cable and Domino, and now we’ve finally gotten an official image of Domino in her Deadpool 2 costume.

Fans had a lot of strong opinions about who should play Domino, a prominent team member of the X-Force, in Deadpool 2. The casting of Atlanta actress Zazie Beetz in the role was officially announced back in March, and fans have been dying for a look at her in costume.

The image, released by Ryan Reynolds via Twitter on Monday, is nearly identical to the ubiquitous promotional photo of Deadpool sprawled out in front of a fireplace, except for one key difference: Domino is planted directly on top of Deadpool, pinning his body to the ground like a bearskin rug. “Some people just know how to work a red carpet,” the caption reads.

It’s our very first look at Beetz in costume. Whereas Deadpool was merely attempting to be sexy in his original photo, Domino effortlessly succeeds here.

In addition to being a gun-wielding badass with various other fighting skills, Domino’s mutant powers allow her to alter probability. In practice, this means she’s an impossibly lucky shot with any gun. She’ll probably give even Deadpool a run for his money. Domino usually has white skin as part of her mutation, but it looks like Deadpool 2 will only include her eye tattoo and a revealing costume that’s fairly comics-accurate.

Now, where the hell is the first official look at Josh Brolin in his full Cable costume?

Deadpool 2 will be released June 1, 2018.
