The fight with Prometheus is fast approaching for Team Arrow, but it seems that at least two of them will survive the aftermath. Juliana Harkavy and Rick Gonzalez, who play Dinah/Black Canary and Rene/Wild Dog respectively, have been promoted to series regulars for the upcoming sixth season of Arrow on The CW. This makes it all the more likely that the new Black Canary and Wild Dog will survive Prometheus after the show’s fifth season finale.

The Hollywood Reporter writes that Harkavy and Gonzalez have been promoted to regulars after spending this past season as recurring characters. Although for a recurring, Gonzalez’s Wild Dog had a major focus episode this season, “Spectre of the Gun”, which revealed his origin story while also being the first episode of Arrow to address the sociopolitical issue of gun control.

Harkavy and Gonzalez join Katie Cassidy who is returning as the villainous Black Siren, the Earth-2 double of her better-known Laurel Lance, the first Black Canary. Expect a huge battle between Black Siren and Black Canary next season.

While now it’s all but confirmed that Dinah and Rene will live to see another day after the explosive battle with Prometheus, that doesn’t mean it’ll be an easy fight. The season finale of Arrow, titled “Lian Yu,” will likely see the return of the Green Arrow’s most formidable nemesis, Deathstroke.

Arrow will return on April 25, 2017 on The CW.
