New 'Iron Fist' Photo Completes 'Defenders' Continuity

IGN

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is all connected, but it’s a faraway pipe dream to see Tony Stark hanging out with Matt Murdock. But hey, at least the Defenders are sticking together. In a set of new photos of Marvel’s Iron Fist, hard-boiled nurse Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson), who first appeared in Daredevil before popping up in Jessica Jones and Luke Cage, now officially shares the stage with Danny Rand (Finn Jones) and Colleen Wing (Jessica Henwick), completing the continuity in Marvel’s slate of Netflix shows.

Danny Rand, aka Iron Fist, is the last piece of the puzzle before all four of the Netflix superheroes band together in 2017’s The Defenders. Claire is positioned to be a valuable supporting character for the team, one who could give them all a kick in the ass when they need it before they go up against Sigourney Weaver’s as-yet unknown antagonist.

Before Weaver appears, Danny Rand will have to prove himself in his own solo series. Returning after ten years in the faraway land of K’un-Lun, billionaire heir Danny Rand returns to Manhattan as the Marvel Universe’s most formidable master of kung fu, Iron Fist. How Claire meets up with Danny Rand is still an unknown, but Hell’s Kitchen is a relatively small neighborhood.

Marvel’s Iron Fist will premiere on Netflix on March 17, 2017.
