Stan Lee Tells Cute Kid Thor Would Kick Hulk's Butt

When Stan Lee says it, you know it’s true. In an interview with a 14-year-old Leukemia survivor, Stan the Man gave the last word on a critical Marvel issue: In a fight between Thor and the Hulk, the Norse God would win, hands down.

“I would have to say Thor, because strong as Hulk is, he’s still a mortal, but Thor is one of the Norse gods,” Lee said.

Lee chatted with pre-teen KJ Ricci while in Rhode Island for a comic convention, and was immediately asked which Marvel character would emerged the champion in a battle. It’s no surprise this is a pressing question for MCU fans, since the pair will be teaming up for an intergalactic road trip in the next Thor solo film, Thor: Ragnarok. Given the Hulk’s tendency to, well, “Hulk out,” we need to know whether Thor will be able to keep him in check.

It’s not surprising that Lee would go with Thor. Even though he previously said that the Hulk could defeat the Thing in a fight, Thor is a god and could definitely kick both their asses. And it’s not like we haven’t seen this happen before. We previously watched Thor and the Hulk duke it out in The Avengers, where Thor held his own (thanks to his hammer) but neither side really won because Hulk ran away. We’ve also seen the pair battle in the comics, and Thor has typically come out the winner - usually with a smile on his face.
