Fans are letting speculation run wild about possible familial ties between the characters in The Force Awakens. Is Rey Leia and Han’s daughter? Is she Luke’s daughter somehow? One thing we know for sure is that we definitely know the parentage of one of the new characters in The Force Awakens. Actress Billie Lourd may be better known as Chanel #3 to fans of the absolutely bonkers TV show slasher satire Scream Queens, but she’s also Carrie Fisher’s real-life daughter. The first photos of Lourd in the new Star Wars movie have popped up online via People.

The actual name of Lourd's character in 'The Force Awakens' is still a mystery.

Even crazier speculation among fans caught fire when news of Lourd’s appearance in the new movie broke. Some thought she would perhaps be playing a younger version of Princess Leia in a flashback sequence. It’s something that Lourd didn’t rule out when she described her character in July’s issue of Interview, saying, “I’m not Princess Leia’s daughter.”

Still, the photos released seem to indicate she’ll be a fairly minor background character helping with the Resistance, the newest version of the Rebellion. It’s still great to see her character sporting a particularly familiar hairdo that’s just like the one her real-life mom made famous in the original 1977 movie.

It would seem Lourd can’t escape Princess Leia’s hair buns. Her Chanel #3 character from Scream Queens wears earmuffs in a cheeky homage to her mother’s most famous onscreen character as well.

We’ll legitimately get to find out what Lourd is doing — and who that weird blue droid she’s with is — when The Force Awakens is released in just over a week.
