'Fortnite' Puzzle Pieces: Season 8 Locations, Map, and Video Guide
Fortnite: Battle Royale just kicked off Week 8 of Season 8 on Thursday morning, and it looks like the jigsaw puzzle pieces have moved out of the basements and into caves and under bridges. How did Epic Games confuse puzzle pieces with trolls, vicious creatures who love dwelling in such locales?
Where does one “search jigsaw puzzle pieces under bridges and in caves”?
Just like similar previous challenges involving letters to make up words, each new puzzle piece will look different depending on what order it’s acquired in, all in the effort of completing the greater puzzle. And just like challenges hunting down gnomes or rubber ducks, there are far more viable locations than players need to complete the challenge.
Our above video shows the precise location of a jigsaw puzzle piece under the bridge that’s west of Lucky Landing, but there are far more pieces scattered around the map. The easiest ones to locate are under bridges, obvious landmarks that are hard to miss. Any that are inside caves offer a greater challenge.
The two pieces under bridges in the southern half of the island along the river are easy to find. In these and other cases, the pieces are just lying on the ground. When you get close enough, you’ll hear a shimmery audio clue confirming that you’re close to one. They appear as white jigsaw puzzle pieces, larger than a dinner plate. Just reference this map in your travels and take this challenge at a moderate pace. Getting more than two in a single match could be close to impossible.
Thankfully, players have a few weeks to finish this challenge. According to the in-game countdown, Fortnite Season 8 should end on Wednesday, May 8. So it’s entirely possible that Season 9 could begin on Thursday, May 9. Either way, there are only a few weeks left for you to complete this and other challenges.
Fortnite: Battle Royale Season 8, Week 9 should begin Thursday, April 25 around 10:30 a.m. Eastern.
