'Fortnite' Week 6 Secret Battle Star Location Leads to a Hidden Banner

Master Key enters the fray!

The latest Discovery challenge with Fortnite: Battle Royale Week 6, which began Thursday, requires a bit of decoding for players to find the hidden banner — sorry, no secret battle star this week.

The latest loading screen clue is done in the style that began way back in Season 6, Week 10. That loading screen featured DJ Yonder playing music for a crowd and the clue was just four coordinates. The prize was located at the intersection between all four squares on the map.

This time around, the masked version of Master Key features prominently in the loading screen, and he’s chasing what looks like a black version of the Hybrid outfit with the volcano looming in the background. Are they atop some building in Sunny Steps? Perhaps. But more importantly, the head of the key confirms that the prize is a hidden banner, and the base of the key features four coordinates for adjacent squares on the Fortnite island map.

Here's a zoomed-in look at what's on that key in the loading screen: "E2, E3, F2, F3"

The prize is therefore located at the intersection point between E2, E3, F2, and F3.

For anyone that needs more precise guidance, the video at the top of this article from YouTuber HarryNinetyFour shows exactly where to go. (Be sure to check out their YouTube page for even more Fortnite videos).

We’ve also got a detailed map.

The location is just west of Lazy Lagoon.

The precise location players want to go for is directly west of Lazy Lagoon in what’s essentially a canyon between two cliffs. The hidden banner will appear underneath a tree on the northern side of the path.

Remember that this banner will only appear to players that have completed six full weeks of challenges and unlocked the Week 6 loading screen featuring Master Key. Otherwise, you’ll just be looking at a regular tree.

Season 8 has barely more than a month left, according to the in-game countdown, which estimates that the season will end on May 8. Then we’ll be on to Season 9.

Fortnite: Battle Royale Season 8, Week 7should begin the morning of Thursday, April 11.
