Your guide to grabbing tickets ASAP.
We’re closing in on the one month mark before Avengers: Endgame finally hits theaters, and we’re all starting to get very antsy about when tickets might go on sale.

Previous Reddit leaks indicated April 2 as the on-sale date, with a blurry image of an internal paper handout for an undisclosed theater chain as evidence. (But anyone could easily fake something like that.) More recent rumors indicate that today, March 22, will be when tickets go on sale, but that also doesn’t seem likely.
Redditor u/the8thpsychopath claims in a post on the Marvel Studios subreddit that a theater employee told them Friday, March 22 was the date, but then the employee quickly and uneasily retracted that statement.
There’s no way to verify this. However, while in a Brooklyn theater before seeing Captain Marvel again on Thursday night, I asked an employee the same question while he was joking around behind the concessions stand. “Let me check the system!” he enthusiastically responded. He thumbed through a tablet while humming loudly but then grew very quiet, and his entire expression changed.
I asked him if he saw anything. He stammered that the system didn’t say anything, and speculated it could be anywhere between next week and three weeks before release. (The later corroborates previous speculation about the April 2 date, assuming he was telling me the truth.) Am I reading too much into this encounter? Probably.
As of this writing, we still have no indication of when tickets will go on sale, but we can all take measures to ensure that we’re the first one to know.
Here’s How to Know Exactly When Endgame Tickets Go on Sale
Most theater chains and movie ticket sales apps have functionality that allows users to sign up for alerts attached to specific movies. If you know where you want to see Avengers: Endgame, check the theater’s specific website first, sign up for any insider accounts, and download their app.
Go to the listing for Endgame on the AMC Theaters website and select “Remind Me.” That will prompt you to subscribe for AMC Stubs or log in. Signing up for AMC Stubs Insider is free, but they also have other paid tiers that function similar to MoviePass.
We also suggest downloading the AMC Theaters mobile app and logging into your account. In theory, you’ll get an email and push notification from AMC Theaters as soon as tickets go on sale, so also ensure push notifications are enabled for the app.
You’ll get an email when tickets go on sale near you by submitting your email address and zip code. But we also suggest signing up for a free Fandango VIP account. Then, on the mobile app, click on the little ❤️ emoji and Endgame will be added to your “My Movies” list.
Marvel’s Official Twitter Account Is the Best Place
The best course of action for alerts related to tickets, however, is to “turn on mobile notifications” on the Marvel Studios Twitter account so that whenever something is tweeted, you’ll receive a push notification on your mobile device. (Also ensure in your phone’s settings that notifications from the app are allowed.)
Are you exhausted yet? You’ll be thanking us later when you get prime seats to that Avengers: Endgame Thursday showing.
Avengers: Endgame will be released in theaters on April 26, 2019.
