'Fortnite' 6 Waterside Goose Nests: Locations to Complete the Challenge

Epic Games is leaning even further into “The Twelve Days of Christmas” as a theme for the 14 Days of Fortnite this holiday season, directly referencing a refrain from the song for the second day in a row. Day 5 focused on flying through “five golden rings” and Day 6 is all about “six geese a-laying.”
14 Days of Fortnite Day 6 began Monday morning, Christmas Eve, and the new festive challenge is to “search waterside goose nests.” The challenge calls for players to find six of them, but fittingly, there are way more nests out there on the Fortnite: Battle Royale island.
It’s been a long time since the rubber duckies challenge in Fortnite, but this one’s virtually identical. Both challenges focus on bird-related objects near bodies of water, and some of the exact rubber ducky locations have seemingly been recycled.
The map has changed considerably since then and gained different bodies of water, but the principal remains the same: If there’s water, there’s probably a goose nest nearby.
There are at least 19 nests around the map, and players only need to find six of them.
Because there are so many nests around the map, this challenge is rather easy. We recommend focusing on Dusty Divot and then moving in a specific direction based on the storm trajectory. Another sound strategy is landing at either the northern or southern end of the river and then following it inland to more locations.
Unlike the regular challenges that last all season long, the 14 Days of Fortnite challenges and their rewards will be available for a limited amount of time. According to the in-game menu, the 14th challenge unlocks on January 1 and they’re all bound to disappear soon after that.
In an official blog post, Epic Games wrote about how 14 Days of Fortnite will influence all of the game modes. “In addition to the map makeover, the 14 Days of Fortnite event will feature a new challenge with a new free reward every single day,” Epic wrote. “Each day also brings both new and returning LTMs. And finally, be sure and check out the Item Shop for new and returning holiday outfits appearing daily to show off your holiday spirit. Login everyday to see what’s new!”
So expect a wide variety of challenges and LTM between now and the end of the holiday season.
