'Game of Thrones' Season 8 Spoilers: Here's Who the Cast Says Will Win

by Meredith Jacobs

Game of Thrones is coming to an end with Season 8, and the question on everyone’s mind is simple: Who will sit on the Iron Throne? It’s all but guaranteed to be answered in the final six episodes. Fans have shared plenty of theories already, and surprisingly, so have a few Game of Thrones stars.

Potential spoilers for Game of Thrones Season 8 below.

While promoting Netflix’s The Haunting of Hill House, Michiel Huisman, who played Daario Naharis in Seasons 4, 5 and 6 of Game of Thrones, told Collider he’s “not allowed to say” if he’s in the final season. However, he was able to share his prediction for the end of the series.

“For the longest of time, I thought it was going to be one of the sisters, one of the Starks that was going to be on the throne, that was going to end up on the iron throne,” he said.

Huisman also suggested Daenerys could take the throne, but added, “that also seems a little obvious.”

He’s not the only former cast member to comment on the big question. Sean Bean, who played Ned Stark before being killed off in Season 1, also suggested it could a Stark sister could end up on the throne.

“Who’s left?” he asked in an interview with Mashable. “Jon Snow is left, isn’t he? But Arya would have to be it. Yeah, Arya will last — maybe she’ll be on the throne.”

Even if Arya doesn’t sit on the throne, she may have the best chance out of all her remaining siblings to survive until the end of the series. Jon Snow may have been killed and brought back to life, but Arya has survived quite a bit and is more than capable in a fight. She’ll undoubtedly hang on until the end.

Will either Huisman or Bean (or both) be right? There are many theories out there, including one that suggests a Targaryen could be the one to sit on the throne, but not Dany herself.

Game of Thrones season 8 will premiere on HBO in 2019.
