Cowboys vs. Eagles Prediction: Winner for Dak Prescott vs. Carson Wentz Matchup

Perhaps the Eagles (and new addition Golden Tate) can deliver the coup de grace this week to the 2018 Cowboys.

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott (4) warms up prior to the game between the Tennessee Titans and Dallas Cowboys on November 5, 2018 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX.

The Eagles finally clawed their way back to .500 after taking care of business across the pond in London last week, defeating the declawed Jags to bring their record to 4-4. Philadelphia has yet to string together consecutive wins this season, but fortunately for the defending Super Bowl champions, the Cowboys come riding into town Sunday night.

The Cowboys are 3-5 and have also failed to put together back-to-back wins, having lost to Washington and Tennessee in the past two weeks. Things are in full meltdown mode in Big D: people are dancing on the Cowboys’ grave (or perhaps just The Star), and no less an expert than living legend Troy Aikman thinks the Cowboys need to tear it all down and start over. Even the youth have caught on to the Cowboys’ woes. Wisdom from the mouth of babes. Seriously though, to state the painfully obvious: Jason Garrett is in over his head. Put in Tony Romo as coach.

Perhaps the Eagles (and new addition Golden Tate) can deliver the coup de grace this week to the 2018 Cowboys. We wouldn’t consider it murder; more like mercy, akin to putting down a horse with a broken leg. It’s for their own good. Eagles 24, Cowboys 17 is my prediction, but how did a hive-mind of NFL experts predict the outcome of this Week 10 match-up?

To predict the result of this Week 10 match-up, Unanimous A.I. used what’s known as swarm intelligence to forecast the week’s slate. Some 28 NFL enthusiasts worked together as a hive mind to make picks. As you can see in the animation below, each participant controlled a little golden magnet and used it to drag the puck toward the answer they thought was the most likely outcome. As the users saw the puck move toward a particular decision, it triggered a psychological response. They readjusted their decision-making, building toward the consensus you see below. It’s an artificial intelligence produced by human brains working together as a swarm.

As you can see in animation above, the the swarm has predicted the Eagles will win this Sunday night game, but has low confidence in the match-up.

The Cowboys play at the Eagles at 8:20 p.m. Eastern Sunday on NBC.

Here’s how Unanimous A.I. has predicted previous NFL games this season.

Unanimous A.I. has made some scarily accurate predictions in the past using swarm intelligence, as our this article explains. For instance, the swarm picked this year’s Oscar winners with 94 percent accuracy. Here’s Unanimous A.I. founder Louis Rosenberg explaining swarm intelligence at a recent TEDx Talk:
