The Russos may be a filmmaking duo of brothers, but Joe Russo is trying his first solo act as a restauranteur. In a live Instagram Q&A to promote his restaurant’s bar, Duello, the Russo sibling almost revealed the title of Avengers 4, after confirming that a trailer is arriving before 2019.

On Thursday at 1 p.m. Eastern, Joe Russo launched an Instagram live stream on Duello’s Instagram account (@duellobar). While fielding all sorts of questions ranging from the restaurant business to his favorite episode of the NBC sitcom Community (it’s “Advanced Dungeons & Dragons”), Russo eventually had to face a few questions regarding Avengers 4.

“All right, well,” he said at the very end of the livestream. “The next movie’s called Avengers…”

The livestream was then “cut” due to technical problems (yeah right), which forced Russo to begin live streaming again. “The official title is…” began Russo one more time, before losing video (again). Yes, it’s all a gag, Joe Russo was never going to reveal the title.

The director did say that Avengers 4 is “halfway” through the editing process, with composer Alan Silvestri starting his musical score. He also said that a trailer will be released before the calendar year becomes 2019, which echoes previous comments made by Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige.

While Russo is known to Marvel fans worldwide as one-half of the directing team for films like Avengers: Infinity War, Joe Russo is trying his hand at the food industry. In September 2018, the restaurant Simone opened in the Arts District of Los Angeles with cuisine from James Beard Award-winning chef Jessica Largey. Duello, the bar inside Simone, is helmed by Edinburgh mixologist Iain McPherson. The name of the restaurant is an homage to singer Nina Simone.

“Everyone tried to talk me out of it,” Russo said in an interview with the Observer on opening a restaurant (which involves a lot of financial risks). “It’s, ultimately, What’s your goal? Is it fiscal or is it something else? Personal fulfillment?”

With Joe Russo halfway through the post-production process of Avengers 4, it’s a cool thing that the filmmaker has a place where everybody knows his name.

Avengers 4 will be released in theaters on May 3, 2019.
