'Smash Ultimate' Leaks: 9 Incredible New Character Costumes Revealed Early

Pikachu looks particularly amazing.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is still a few months away, but the leaks keep coming. The latest details to spill out of the Nintendo vault focus on some of the new costumes your favorite characters will wear in the upcoming game. That may not sound like a huge deal, but trust us when we saw that some of these costumes are pretty awesome.

The latest Smash Bros. Ultimate leak comes courtesy of Nintendo’s own press server, suggesting the company should get an official announcement before too long. But thanks to ComicBook, we can all take an early look at Pikachu dressed up like a luchador, along with eight other character variations.

Other notable character costumes in the Smash Bros. Ultimate leak include Ridley in some sort of mechanized suit, two new versions of Mario from Super Mario Odyssey and Mario Maker, and a new version of Yoshi to match the upcoming Nintendo Switch game. Plus smaller changes for popular characters like Link, Bayonetta, and Ike.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate features the biggest roster yet, bringing back every old character from every previous game while also adding a handful of new ones. Rumor has it we could get even more additions to the lineup before Ultimate officially launches later this year, and paid extras that come out post-release could bring additional fighters after that.

The upcoming game also features a massive selection of stages to choose from, along with new Assist Trophies (now you can attack them), a new fake-out Smash Ball that explodes instead of unlocking your Final Smash, and more. This game can’t come soon enough, but until it does these Smash Bros. Ultimate leaks will have to do.
