Thursday means the new Weekly Challenges are live on Fortnite: Battle Royale, which also means the new Road Trip Challenge is available. Once this week’s special task is complete there is only one more challenge left to earn the Road Trip Challenge skin.
Last week, data miners found the Road Trip Challenge loading screens for Week 5 and 6. These images unlock once a player completes all of the Weekly Challenges. For this week’s Road Trip Challenge, players will have to take a trip to the drive-in to find the hidden Battle Star.
Players who finished all the tasks for the week can head to Risky Reels and look for the drive-in. Players can find the location just south of the “R” in Reels. There will be lines of cars facing a destroyed movie screen. The secret Battle Star will be on the back of a red pick-up truck in the first row of vehicles closets to the screen. When a player who completed all the challenges for the week gets in close proximity to the truck the star will appear.
The Road Trip Challenges are special tasks introduce in Fortnite: Battle Royale Season 5. There are seven challenges, one per week, and the reward for completing all the tasks is a secret skin, which has not be discovered by data miners yet.
Next week will be the final Road Trip Challenge. Even if data miners do discover the loading screen that gives a hint to the location of the final Battle Star, it will not be accessible until Thursday when all the Weekly Challenges to live.
Before the week’s challenges to into effect next Thursday, Epic will apply the Fortnite: Battle Royale v5.30 to the game on Tuesday. That same day, August 21, is also the supposed date of something “big” happening in the game.
