Tony Stark traveling through time could be a crucial plot point in 'Avengers 4'.

In 10 months, everyone will learn the fate of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes when Avengers 4 is released. Until then, fans are still speculating on how the story will pan out, especially with leaked pictures from the movie set revealing the heroes may have to go back in time.

There is little doubt that time travel will play a part in Avengers 4 as evident with the candid behind-the-scenes shots coming from the movie set. From the leaked shots, there are two interesting things to notice. The first being Captain America in his older suit and the second are the wrist items the actors appear to be wearing.

Seeing Cap’ in his older uniform and Thor with long hair gives a hint that the surviving heroes, namely Iron Man and Ant-Man, will travel back to 2012, the time of the first Avengers movie. Now, why they go back in time is another question. Obviously, the Tesseract, or the Space Stone, is the key item in the movie, so will the heroes make use of it to fight Thanos before he obtains other stones? The stone does give them the power to teleport anywhere in the universe and ideally at that time, the Mad Titan is not the powerhouse he is when Avengers: Infinity War rolls around.

To get back in time, that’s where those devices on the actor’s wrists would come in to play. Since Captain Marvel takes place in the 90s, maybe she comes to the future with them or as the case with most of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Tony Stark is the one to make them.

Marvel movie fans won’t know for sure what happens until Avengers 4 comes out next year. Expect to get a taste of what’s next when Ant-Man and the Wasp comes out in July and then more with Captain Marvel out next March.

Time may play a big role in the next Avengers movie, but someone who had plenty of time was the one Marvel fan who watched Infinity War 45 times. His dedication to seeing the movie that many times in a little over a month earned him a ticket to the Avengers 4 premiere.
