'Ant-Man and The Wasp' Set Footage Shows a Car Get Totally Wrecked

Despite being Marvel’s smallest hero, Ant-Man can deliver big thrills. Like, say, flinging a car through the air to have it crunch down on two unsuspecting vans.

On Saturday, September 9, a San Francisco resident filmed part of an action scene on the set of Ant-Man and the Wasp, and it’s a pretty sweet bit of footage even without whatever CGI hero or villain Marvel will add to the shot later. The extremely high-quality video shows a black van get yanked up into the air by a crane (which will presumably be erased digitally), flip in the air, and come bouncing down one of Hob Hill’s steep streets to rest on two unfortunate vans. It’s the type of video that you’ll want to watch a couple times.

It unclear when in the film’s narrative this scene might take place or what exactly is happening aside from a cool bit of demolition. One of the villains in the movie, Ghost, played by Hannah John-Kamen, can turn invisible. Maybe Marvel won’t have to add much to the scene in post, if that’s the case. Or, more likely, there’s going to be a bunch of crazy movie magic. In any case, let’s watch that car get wrecked again.

Ant-Man and The Wasp will spring into theaters on July 6, 2018.
