‘Justice League’ Still Filming With Fewer Than 75 Days Until Release

People

A lot of work is going into Justice League, which will be released on November 17 — which is not that far off. But, it seems the film’s long reshoot process will still be underway well into the month of September, based on a new Instagram photo from a stunt actress who plays one fierce Amazonian warrior in the movie.

Over the weekend, Madeleine Vall Beijner, a former MMA fighter turned stunt actress, posted on Instagram a photo of herself (as “Egeria”) from the set of Wonder Woman along with fellow stunt performers Hayley Janes Warnes and Hari James. In the accompanying caption, Beijner wrote: “In less than three weeks I will be reunited with these badass amazon warriors again!! 👊🏼⚔️ Also, in Themiscyra (Italy) at the same location where we were shooting the movie #WONDERWOMAN.🎥🌴 Can’t wait to go back! Can’t wait to see you guys.”

The reshoot period for Justice League has been notably long, however, it’s also not unheard for films to still be shooting so close to its release date. Although they’re expectedly a lot of work, previous reports suggest that Joss Whedon (The Avengers) is merely building upon whatever was left by the film’s previous director, Zack Snyder. Principal photography was already completed by the time Whedon came aboard for reshoots.

And, let’s face it: While time will whiz by from now until we’re in the theater for Justice League, two months and change is still plenty of time to finish a movie.

Diana of Themyscira is the only Amazon to join the ranks of the Justice League, but the film will undoubtedly need much more as Queen Hippolyta and General Antiope from Wonder Woman will return for the film. In Justice League, the powerful New God Steppenwolf will be on the hunt for mythical Mother Boxes, which are scattered across Earth — including Themyscira. It’s more than likely that Justice League will bring fans of the DC Extended Universe back to the land of the Amazons.
