On Sunday night, as many were watching red carpet coverage of the mathematically predictable Academy Awards, Elon Musk announced on Twitter that SpaceX will make an announcement at 1 p.m. Pacific on Monday.

The announcement could be related to any number of SpaceX endeavors, but likely on the list of possibilities are slowed development of the Crew Dragon capsule, which NASA will use to send astronauts to the International Space Station, or development of the Falcon Heavy rocket, expected to test-launch this year, or even news about SpaceX’s plans to colonize Mars.

The most recent news for SpaceX came in the form of a Government Accountability Office report that outlined several concerns NASA had with SpaceX regarding the development of its commercial crew capsule.

It might be as routine as an announcement of upcoming mission dates, as the SpaceX launch calendar is always changing.

It’s not clear how the announcement will be made, but the Twitter accounts for SpaceX or Elon Musk.
