In the aftermath of Marvel’s explosive Civil War II arc, criminal leaders Tombstone, Mr. Fish, Black Cat, Cottonmouth, Mariah Dillard, and Alex Wilder are all vying for control over a vulnerable Harlem — and the only ones who can stop them are Power Man and Iron Fist. Harlem’s become a powder-keg of warring criminal factions, and in the previews to the new Power Man and Iron Fist, it looks like the neighborhood is going up in flames.
Harlem Burns includes some usual suspects like Cottonmouth, Mariah Dillard, and Tombstone, but there’s also the inclusion of Black Cat — who’s been running her own criminal empire in Manhattan — and Alex Wilder of The Runaways.
David F. Walker’s Power Man and Iron Fist revival has been one of the more interesting new series in quite some time. The art style from Sanford Greene and contemporary commentary from Walker make the series your best bet if you loved the recent Netflix Luke Cage series.
While the previews don’t show off any of the big fish right away, it’s good to know that the two are keeping Harlem safe from criminals like Lobster Man.
It’s seriously doubtful that any of them will be big players in the fight for Harlem.
Assuming this is Alex Wilder, he’s certainly changed his style after moving from Los Angeles to New York.
