5 surprisingly altruistic reasons ancient humans and dogs came together

Before there were Good Bois and DogeCoin, there were ancient dogs — creatures that lived alongside Homo sapiens for millennia as our species spread throughout the world.

Most recently, researchers from the University of Florence discovered the remains of ancient hunting dogs in Dmanisi, Georgia. Incredibly, these dogs lived alongside the earliest humans in Europe — 1.8 million years ago.
