Enemy starts with a man trying to track down his doppelganger and gets so much weirder from there. It’s a slow burn from Denis Villeneuve before the much bigger Arrival, Blade Runner 2049, and Dune.
6. Ex Machina
Ex Machina is a beautiful, creepy, and cautionary tale about AI and tech-bro hubris. There’s an all-time great dance scene to break the tension, but expect to be afraid of your phone for the rest of the day.
