Kanye West’s 2008 music video for “Flashing Lights” is iconic. It’s co-directed by West with Academy Award-winning director Spike Jonze, and has been watched more than 41 million times on YouTube. West, in 2010, even called it his favorite music video he’s ever done. Today, I Can’t Even Productions has shared a shot-for-shot remake of the video using Grand Theft Auto V.

It’s not an exact copy, as there are some workarounds to fit to the game. For example, the GTA version has the female protagonist blow up the car with a rocket launcher. In the original, she murders a tied-up West with an axe.

Still, the side-by-side comparison shows that it’s pretty spot-on.

The remake is not the song’s first run-in with Grand Theft Auto. It was previously featured on The Beat 102.7 radio station in GTA IV.
