'Fortnite' Junk Junction Treasure Map Signpost: Location and Map for Week 8

And the battle star it leads to.

The final week of Fortnite: Battle Royal Season 8’s weekly challenges began Thursday morning, and we’ve got one more two-stage treasure map signpost challenge to do before this season’s through.

First, you have to “search the treasure map signpost found in Junk Junction.” That offers a more traditional treasure map clue leading to the second location for Stage 2: “follow the treasure map signpost in Paradise Palms.” That’s where you can claim a battle star worth five tiers.

You just need enough time to complete the “search” animation in both instances. And because each step is a distinct stage, they have to be done in different matches. As such, the best course of action is to play extremely aggressive or just eliminate yourself by jumping off the side of the island into the sea.

Follow along with the video at the top of this article to see the precise locations in action, and use our below map and screenshots at references.

Here are both locations needed to complete this two-stage challenge.

Where to Search the Treasure Map Signpost Found in Junk Junction

The first location is obviously in Junk Junction. Land in the center of the depot just north of the main building. The treasure map signpost faces south and is located just inside a tiny alleyway, boxed in by a stack of wooden pallets. Take note of the northwestern-most point of the main building, land directly north of that on top of the pallets, and you won’t miss the signpost.

Land right next to this rock on the eastern side of these ravines to claim the battle star.

The treasure map references the Fork-Knife ditches directly north of Fatal Fields and south of Dusty Divot. The battle star materializes on top of what we might as well call the rock located at the bottom of the knife blade. In other words, that’s the big rock that’s furthest east in this peculiar landmark.

According to the in-game countdown, Fortnite Season 8 ends on Wednesday, May 8. Therefore, Season 9 should begin either Thursday, May 9 or Friday, May 10. Either way, there isn’t much time left to complete this or any other challenges.
