'Avengers: Endgame' Spoilers: Clip Reveals How the Heroes Track Down Thanos

Someone tell Steve Rogers to watch his language. In a new clip of Avengers: Endgame, the heroes meet Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) for the first time and hatch a plan to track Thanos, who is using the Infinity Stones again. This despite the fact that his gauntlet burnt out at the end of Avengers: Infinity War.

On Monday, Good Morning America debuted a new clip of Avengers: Endgame that showed Larson’s Captain Marvel butting heads with the rest of the Avengers. Despite being one of the most powerful beings in the MCU, it’s clear the rest of the Avengers immediately don’t trust her, never mind that she was summoned by Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) himself.

But perhaps a bigger deal than the drama of the Avengers welcoming an outsider is that they somehow find a way to pin down Thanos’ whereabouts based on his subsequent use of the Infinity Stones. This was previously teased in Avengers: Endgame footage exclusively shown at a Disney shareholders meeting, but this is the first time we’re seeing in confirmed in an official clip.

But how? The stones, or at least the gauntlet, were shown to be severly damaged at the end of Avengers: Infinity War. How Thanos is able to “use” the stones again, as Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow puts it, remains to be seen in the rest of the 179 minutes of Avengers: Endgame.

Regardless, the Avengers have a few other issues to deal with before they can tackle the Mad Titan. Part of their distrust for Captain Marvel comes from the fact that she’s has been away this entire time, to which she responds, “There are a lot of other planets in the universe. And unfortunately, they didn’t have you guys.”

This leads to Thor’s “stare-down” of Captain Marvel as seen in the trailer, where Thor shows his approval of her. “I like this one,” he says.

That’s when Steve says, “Let’s go get this son of a bitch.” Whoa there, Steve. Language, amirite?

As seen in the mid-credits scene of Captain Marvel, Carol Danvers returns to Earth after being called by Nick Fury, via super beeper, just before he turned to dust in Avengers: Infinity War. It was in the Captain Marvel credits where Carol met the heroes and wasted no time asking, “Where’s Fury?”

This new clip from Good Morning America clearly takes place in the aftermath of that moment, with the Avengers getting to know Carol and learning how to trust her. Will they trust her and succeed? We’ll have to watch the rest of the film to find out.

Avengers: Endgame will be released in theaters on April 26.
