Where to Find the Secret Battle Star in 'Fortnite' Season 7, Week 9

You'll have to look in Santa's sleigh.

There’s a new secret Snowfall loading screen for Fortnite: Battle Royale’s Season 7 Week 7, and it sends players hunting for a secret battle star in Santa’s sleigh — sort of.

Week 9 began Thursday morning, and for anyone looking to hunt down the secrets from this week’s Snowfall loading screen, we’ve got all the information right here, including a video guide from YouTuber garandhero. (Be sure to check out his YouTube page for even more Fortnite videos).

Just like every other odd-numbered week — like in Week 7 — this week’s loading screen leads to a secret battle star as opposed to a hidden banner.

Once players complete all seven of the Week 9 challenges — like X-4 Stormwing timed trials and destroying gold balloons — they unlock a new loading screen featuring the Prisoner.

His back is to the camera as he lumbers away from his icy prison, and on the wall to his left is something etched into the ice.

It's tough to make out, but the clue indicates there's a battle star at the huge, wooden sleigh.

Up close, the clue is clearly a sled, and it’s a reference to the large, seemingly manmade sled constructed in a similar manner to the giant crab or llama players should be very familiar with by now.

It’s a new addition in Season 7 and located directly south of Shifty Shafts on the west side of a small, unnamed settlement.

The large sled is easy to spot from the sky, and the battle star is underneath it in the snow.

The specific location is technically underneath the sled, directly in between two item spawn points in a patch of mixed dirt and snow.

Compared to some other location, this one’s pretty easy, especially because it’s not exactly a hotspot for players to land.

According to the in-game countdown, Fortnite Season 7 ends on February 27, 2019. So players have less than a month to complete this and other challenges before Season 8 kicks off.

In the meantime, gear up for Fortnite’s next big event on Saturday, February 2 at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Park. It’s a Marshmello concert!
