'Fortnite' Season 7 Skins: Teaser and Leaks Confirm New Outfits and More

New outfits are coming, along with winter.

Fortnite: Battle Royale Season 7 is nearly here, but leaks based on data-miners are already spoiling what’s to come. So far, Epic Games has officially only hinted at two new outfits coming to the game via the usual cryptic images, and while leaks confirm what these skins look like, the new season will offer a lot more.

On Wednesday morning, @CrossLeaks on Twitter leaked an HD image of the Season 7 wallpaper that features the new characters at the focus of Fortnite: Battle Royale Season 7. When each season officially debuts, this in-game wallpaper usually has all the main characters lined up with a relevant background color.

Season 6 featured Calamity, Dire, and other characters with a purple background for Fortnitemares. Season 7 takes a more wintery approach, featuring the icy warlord character front and center with what looks like a female Black Panther to his right. There’s also a new bearded older man looking like a badass Santa Claus that belongs in Save the World rather than Battle Royale.

It also seems like there’s yet another cat outfit also cropped out of the image that might even be the character featured in the second teaser. @CrossLeaks also noted in another tweet that the figure has a strange shoulder spike that we can also see in the lineup shot. As they put it, “Do we have 2 ninja cats?” seems like a valid question.

More importantly, why is Epic Games blatantly ripping off Marvel’s Black Panther?

There’s no reason to assume this leak would be false in any way. Because of the prominent placement that the “ice warlord” takes, we can also infer that he’ll be the upgradeable outfit everyone gets with the Battle Pass, just like Calamity in Season 6.

What does he have on under those robes and armor? We’ll probably find out tomorrow morning when Season 7 — and the iceberg — finally hits the Fortnite island.

These two teaser images do feature snowboarding or skiing of some kind and a zipline. Most players assume Season 7 will blanket some or all of the map in snow, so perhaps snowboards will become a new item players can use to get around? Ziplines seem far more likely as its function could resemble the Grappler with longer range and cords that persist rather than pull the user.

No matter what happens, big changes are about to hit the world of Fortnite for Season 7.

Fortnite: Battle Royale Season 7 begins Thursday, December 6 at roughly 4 a.m. Eastern.
