After absolutely sweeping the comedy categories at the 70th Primetime Emmy Awards, The Marvelous Ms. Maisel has us all wondering when Season 2 of the Amazon exclusive period comedy is coming out.

There’s no official release date currently announced for The Marvelous Ms. Maisel, but Amazon has already promised that Season 2 is “coming soon” since before the latest Emmy award via a teaser trailer for Season 2 back on August 9.

The Marvelous Ms. Maisel won almost every Emmy nomination in the comedy categories, with showrunner Amy Sherman-Palladino winning one award for writing and one for directing on the show.

The teaser trailer has almost too many cuts to follow, but Midge says at one point, “We’re going to the Catskills!”

Sherman-Palladino told The Hollywood Reporter at the 2018 Producers Guild Awards, “I want to see those two girls stay some nights in shitty hotels and playing some dumpy clubs.” A big part of that comes from Midge and Susie going on tour through various Catskills clubs.

Per The Hollywood Reporter actor Zachary Levi (Chuck, Shazam!) has a recurring role in Season 2 as “an eclectic Manhattan doctor” that may or may not be a love interest to Midge.

The only Emmy that Mrs. Maisel did not win was in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy series, for which Tony Shalhoub was nominated. But the show took home every other award it was nominated for. Here’s every Emmy that the show won at the 70th Primetime Emmy Awards:

  • Alex Borstein — Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series
  • Amy Sherman-Palladino — Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series
  • Amy Sherman-Palladino — Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series
  • Rachel Brosnahan — Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series
  • Outstanding Comedy Series

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel might have no Season 2 release date on the calendar so far, but according to Variety, Amazon has already ordered a third season of the show, so fans can expect a lot more comedy from the series in the future.
