Here’s the Star Wars Theme Sung by the Porgs From 'The Last Jedi'

The porg-pocalypse continues. First, fans replaced characters on Last Jedi posters with the hamster birds. Then, they made their way into the original trilogy. And, now, they’re singing the Star Wars theme song.

On Tuesday, YouTuber Volpe (real name Julian Bahmani) uploaded a video featuring porgs singing “Star Wars (Main Title).” The “singing” was made using sounds from an official porg toy for The Last Jedi, and the video itself was made, naturally, out of Bahmani’s love of porgs. Needless to say, it’s something you have to listen to yourself to fully understand.

Porgfever is in full swing right now, which means, for better or worse, this isn’t the last we’ll see of the creatures being inserted elsewhere in the Star Wars universe. It’s honestly surprising that we haven’t seen porgs being digitally added into lightsaber fight scenes already, but that may be because the porgs’ most ardent fans don’t want to see the little creatures get hurt. If the description of porgs as potentially “tasty” in the Star Wars Made Easy book and the picture of Chewbacca with a feather in his mouth are any indication, those fans may not want to see The Last Jedi when it comes out.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits U.S. theaters on December 15.
