Here’s a Look at Misty Knight’s Bionic Arm in ‘Luke Cage’ Season 2

Marvel/Netflix

Daredevil may have been buried alive and presumed dead at the end of The Defenders, but he ultimately made it out of the finale in one piece. The same can’t be said for Misty Knight, a supporting character from Luke Cage who finally lost her arm, just like in the comics. Now, a new image from Season 2 of the Netflix show confirms that she’ll be following in the comic character’s footsteps and getting a high-tech prosthetic, but it looks a little different.

Entertainment Weekly unveiled the photo on Tuesday, though there weren’t many details to go along with it. In the comics, Misty lost her arm while trying to defuse a bomb, but Tony Stark outfitted her with a super-strong bionic arm so she could keep fighting crime firsthand. In The Defenders, Simone Missick’s Misty had her arm sliced off by the Iron Fist villain Bakuto while attempting to rescue Colleen Wing and Claire Temple from the Hand. She was last seen recovering in the hospital, which Colleen said was owned by Danny Rand and worked on some pretty cutting-edge technologies.

Presumably, the arm Misty sports in the new photo has something to do with that tech. It’s not gold like it is in the comics, which is a shame, but it’s still pretty neat looking. And, hey — she could always decide to gild it later on.
