The post-credits sequence at the end of Doctor Strange revealed that the Sorcerer Supreme would have a little meeting with the God of Thunder, and now a new trailer for Thor: Ragnarok has revealed a little of how that meeting’s going to go down. Cordial enough, it seems, but Doctor Strange has some dire predictions for Thor.
“Thor, I sense a great change in your future,” Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange tells Thor in the opening moments of the new trailer. “Destiny has dire plans for you, my friend.”
“I have dire plans for destiny,” Chris Hemsworth’s Thor responds, sounding very, very serious.
After that, though, the trailer is mostly just full of tantalizing teases of all the off-the-wall, metal-inspired action we can expect from Ragnarok. There’s also a solid “let’s get the team together” vibe, as the Hulk, Valkyrie, and, oh yes, that lovable rapscallion Loki each join Thor’s fight against Hela.
This movie looks bonkers in the best way.
Thor: Ragnarok hits theaters on November 3.
