The Hulk vs. Thor Fight in ‘Ragnarok’ Won’t End Like You'd Expect

Marvel

The first trailer for the third Thor movie, Ragnarok, looked delightfully bonkers, but the hands-down best moment came when the God of Thunder met his “friend from work,” the Hulk, in a gladiatorial arena. Thor was pumped to see Hulk, but the Hulk just wanted to fight. Who would win? Well, the actor behind Bruce Banner is hinting that there’s going to be a little bit of confusion surrounding who wins and loses.

“Saw new Thor3 trailer today. Amazing!!!” Mark Ruffalo tweeted on Thursday night. “Guess who wins in a fight between Thor and Hulk? There seems to be a little confusion. You’ll see.”

Given that only Iron Man in his Hulkbuster armor has been able to defeat the Hulk in a straight-up fight in the MCU, it’s going to be quite a feat if Thor manages to best the angry green gladiator. Ruffalo seems to be hinting that there might not be a true winner or loser, though. Maybe they’ll stop fighting, or some third party will intervene. Perhaps it has something to do with why the Hulk was super pumped to beat the hell out of his fellow Avenger.

Ruffalo’s tweet suggests that we could know more when the second trailer drops. And, it seems probable that it could come out soon. In another tweet, Ruffalo said he “just saw a preview of what Marvel is showing at Comic-Con.”

“You are about to get your mind blown!” he told Marvel fans. “Best I’ve seen yet. Kaboom”

Given that he tweeted about seeing the Thor: Ragnarok trailer right after he tweeted about seeing Marvel’s Comic-Con preview, it’s not too much of a leap to think that trailer might be part of that Comic-Con suite of goodies.

Thor: Ragnarok comes out on November 3, 2017.
