In late 2012, Disney struck a licensing agreement with Netflix that would give the streaming platform the rights to all of Disney’s films, after December 2015. That means Netflix will have the exclusive streaming home for all your favorite Disney, Marvel, and Star Wars films, – but only for movies that release in theaters starting from January 1, 2016 are part of the licensing agreement.

While this means that hit films like Captain America: Civil War will probably make it to Netflix eventually, one key film missed the deal’s deadline by just a few weeks. Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which released December 25, 2015 will not be making it to U.S. Netflix accounts at any time in the future. Instead Starz will retain the licensing rights to the Force Awakens, even if upcoming films like Rogue One make it onto Netflix.

There’s no need to fret, because if you didn’t buy The Force Awakens on blu-ray for some reason, there are actually plenty of ways to get Starz to your computer, phone, or gaming console.

Starz App

If you’resubscribed to any number of premium cable providers, you can easily access Starz on your phone or personal computer through your cable account. Download the app from the iTunes or Google app store, punch in your log-in details, and start streaming Starz’s current library of Disney properties.

Amazon Prime

Amazon recently put out its own service where Prime members could add additional cable subscriptions to their Prime Movies account for an additional fee. That means for a little extra per month, you could add subscriptions to cable channels like Starz or Showtime, and stream their entire available library straight to Amazon Prime. This even works in the Amazon Prime Movies app, including the app available to PS4 and Xbox One users, so you could stream cable movies to those devices as well.

Oh, and Canadians need not be worried. They can still stream The Force Awakens to their Netflix accounts as the Disney deal is solely for U.S. territories.
