Update 10/22: It’s out. See below.
Tonight, Justin Bieber will unveil his new song “Sorry” on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show, as he did for his previous single.
We’re expecting some growth from Biebzus, sonically and emotionally, and so far he’s delivering more evidence that he’s turning his career around. For instance:
With the help of Skrillex, “Sorry” isn’t straying from the formula that made “Where Are U Now” such a hit, but I’m guessing people will allow it since that tropical house sound continues to make a splash. (To the tune of “Cheerleader:” “Oh I think that I found myself a fertile sound!” I’ll show myself out).
Like any project of Scooter Braun, it would appear to be dropping with the full assault of “Sorry” media: videos, Vines, memes, and most importantly, pre-order links for Bieber’s new Purpose. I have a feeling he’s not sorry, but he’s even giving the haters something to invest in.
