'Lego Movie 2' Post-Credits Scene: Why You Should Stay After the Ending

Here's everything you need to know.

The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part, might be jam-packed with superheroes, but it’s not technically a superhero movie. So does The Lego Movie 2 have a post-credits scene to tease the next chapter of the expanding Lego-verse? Here’s what you need to know about what happens in theaters after the movie ends.

Short answer: No, there’s no post-credits scene after The Lego Movie 2. Long answer: You should still stick around and watch the actual credits anyway. Here’s why.

The Lego Movie 2 credits might not feature a post-credits scene, but it’s one of the most visually appealing parts of the movie. You see, even though these entire movies look pretty awesome, most of it is CGI, not actual Lego bricks. However, the credits are all actual Lego, and it’s incredible.

We saw the same thing with the first Lego Movie, which used thousands of Lego bricks to create a stop-motion masterpiece. The entire process, which was created by Robot Chicken animation studio Stoopid Buddy Stoodios for the original movie, also took two months to finish, Business Insider reported at the time.

“They wanted something pretty ambitious,” Stoopid Buddy Stoodios co-founder Seth Green told BI. “Stop-motion without a lot of compositing [combining two or more images].”

Considering that the Lego Movie 2 credits look even more impressive and polished, it probably took even more Lego bricks and time to get the job done. Believe us, even without a post-credits scene, you’ll want to stick around until after the final credit rolls and the theater lights turn on.
