'Hellboy' 2019 Trailer Leak: David Harbour NYCC Teaser Video Appears Online

Earlier this month at New York Comic Con, Hellboy fans got a very early look at the trailer for the new movie set to debut in 2019 with David Harbour (Stranger Things) as the leading demon. That Hellboy trailer still hasn’t been released to the public, but over the weekend a bootleg version hit Facebook.

Update: The bootleg recording of the Hellboy trailer is no longer available. Original article continues below.

The video, which was clearly filmed on a smartphone in vertical mode, actually does a pretty decent job of capturing the Hellboy trailer. It’s unclear who made the recording, though there’s no doubt they were in attendance at the NYCC panel, which featured the stars of the new film along with Hellboy creator Mike Mignola.

The trailer was uploaded by Spanish language Facebook page COMCOM, and you can watch it right here — at least until Lionsgate has it taken down. Once that does happen (and it will definitely happen) you can always watch Inverse’s shot-for-shot video recap of the Hellboy trailer, which is embedded at the top of this article.

Following the adaptations from Guillermo Del Toro, this new Hellboy movie will essentially reboot this cinematic universe with a darker take that’s more horror than fantasy. The new film will also be rated R, which should be clear from the moment you watch Hellboy blow a bad guys brains out in the leaked trailer.

The 2019 adaptation also stars Sasha Lane as Alice Monaghan, Ian McShane as Professor Bruttenholm, Daniel Dae Kim as Ben Daimio, and Milla Jovovich as Nimue the Blood Queen. Based on a few clues in the trailer, we may see several other supernatural heroes make an appearance too, but that’s just speculation for now.

Hellboy hits theaters on April 12, 2019.
