How to Get Elemental Orbs in 'Destiny 2' "Solstice of Heroes"

There's a simple trick if you want to speed up the process.

Destiny 2’s “Solstice of Heroes” event is here and that means it’s time to collect some elemental orbs, especially if you want to unlock that new 400 power armor. Here’s everything you need to know to get all the Arc, Void, and Solar Orbs you need in “Solstice of Heroes.”

One of the key features of “Solstice of Heroes,” which kicked off yesterday and runs through August 28, involves upgrading a special set of armor by completing various tasks. You’ll start with a Scorched armor set (240 power), upgrade it to Rekindled (340 power), and then again to Resplendent (400 power). Doing so, at least at the beginning, means collecting a lot of those Elemental Orbs.

Here’s a full breakdown of everything you need to do to upgrade from Scorched armor to Rekindled, courtesy of Polygon:

Chest - Chosen Redux mission, 90 arc orbs in strikes, complete 10 Heroic public events
Legs - 1AU Redux mission, 150 void orbs, defeat 50 mini-bosses

WARLOCK

Bond - Payback Redux mission, 150 void orbs, complete 10 patrols

Thankfully, collecting Arc, Void, and Solar Orbs isn’t particularly difficult. All you need to do is kill enemies while wearing the new armor. You’ll also want to make sure you have the right weapon equipped, since that decides which type of orb you get. So if you need Solar Orbs use a Solar Energy Weapon.

If you want to speed up the process, GameRant has a trick for farming those Elemental Orbs as quickly as possible, courtesy of YouTube user MesaSean. It involves The Pyramidion Nightfall Strike that’s happening in the game this week and begins with a section that’s jam-packed with the exact type of enemies you need to kill to get those orbs.

All you need to do is start the Strike, kill all the enemies, then activate a plate so more spawn, kill them all again, then activate a plate again, and kill all the enemies but one. At this point, reset before you finish and do it again until you have all the Elemental Orbs you need to upgrade your new “Solstice of Heroes” armor in Destiny 2.

Destiny 2 “Solstice of Heroes” is available now in-game and runs through August 28.
