'Avengers: Infinity War' Heroes Also Wanna Know Where the Heck Ant-Man Was

When your superpower is the ability to shrink, it’s easy for people to miss you. That wasn’t the case in Avengers: Infinity War, however, as Ant-Man was straight-up not in the movie. Luckily, the next MCU film is Ant-Man and the Wasp, and it will explain where Scott Lang was during Thanos’s attack, since the movie is believed to take place before the events of Infinity War.

Turns out, Marvel fans aren’t the only ones who want to know where the heck Ant-Man was. His fellow Avengers have questions.

In a teaser that Marvel released on Monday to promote Tuesday’s release of the new Ant-Man and the Wasp trailer, several Marvel actors ask where the heck Scott was. Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange), Anthony Mackie (Falcon), Pom Klementieff (Mantis), Letitia Wright (Shuri), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Tom Hiddleston (Loki), and Dave Bautista (Drax) all ponder where the tiniest Avenger was when everything went down. The teaser ends with Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly shrugging their shoulders, apparently not really having a good answer just yet.

Hiddleston, it should be noted, makes the same joke about Ant-Man being there, only too small to see, as we did months ago.

Infinity War actually does explain where Ant-Man was, via a tossed-off line of dialogue about how he and Hawkeye struck deals with the government after the events of Captain America: Civil War, opting for house arrest in order to be able to stay with their families.

What, exactly, Scott did while on house arrest will be explored in Ant-Man and the Wasp.

Ant-Man and the Wasp opens on July 6.
